Squirrel Class Visit Bristol Aquarium

Last week Squirrel Class enjoyed a fascinating day out at the Aquarium in Bristol to support our topic, ‘Dive into the Sea’. Our day began with a safari tour of the Aquarium where our guide Tom told us lots of gross facts (and interesting information) about the sea creatures. We all fed some fish who went crazy when we fed them. We saw an electric eel who had come all the way from the Amazon rainforest. We also saw a cucumber fish which was awesome and we had a very close look at some sea horses.  We had chance to touch real shark teeth and we even found Nemo! The two leopard sharks were the highlight for most of us and we really enjoyed watching them as they swam round.

Apologies that some of the photos are a bit dark, we weren’t allowed to use a flash!

Book Fair – last chance to buy!

Today is the last day of our school book fair. We need to reach the magic target of raising £300 before the school benefits from receiving free books. We are some way away from this target and so I urge you to come and buy tonight. There is a wide range of books which would be great as Christmas and Birthday presents. As the quote goes; everyone is a reader…some just haven’t found their favourite book yet!

Help Required!

Our end of term theme week is fast approaching and we are looking for willing helpers. Staff are ready to go with winter themed activities but we are needing help throughout the week. We are looking for people between 9.30-10.30am and 11.00-12.00 on Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th December. If you are able to help during this exciting week at all, please can you ring Mrs David in the office to let her know your availability. Many Thanks.

Book Look

The children’s books will be available to look at in classrooms this Friday 3pm-3.30pm.
Please come and help us celebrate your children’s achievements and hard work.

Lichtenstein Art

Today as part of Space and Superheroes topic year 1 have been colouring and painting in the style of Roy Lichtenstein. They have produced some amazing art work which will be on the walls once dry and complete.

Lost Property!

As you do the weekly washing this weekend please can you spend a few moments just checking that the uniform you are loading into the machine is yours! There are quite a few children with missing jumpers etc and we have looked in all obvious places in school, to no avail. It is quite common for jumpers especially to become muddled up and go home with another child. I appreciate your help with this matter. Many Thanks.
